Nate Crosser is a Kansas City-based SÅsaku-hanga artist. With a creative printmaking process combining Japanese & Western techniques he makes block print compositions with ink on quality papers. His Japandi style is inspired by wabi-sabi and Bauhaus design aesthetics, and he believes that handmade art should be accessible, imperfect, and functionally evocative for both patron and artist. To Nate, each hand carved printing block is totemic, a physical embodiment of memory, and an opportunity for spontaneous fermentation of new work.
